The Long Beach Public Library Foundation's fifth annual fundraising event known as Grape Expectations was held on Sunday, June 22nd 2008 at the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA), in Long Beach, CA. http://lbplfoundation.org/programs_ge.html
The evening featured a five course dinner with carefully chosen premium wines by famous connoisseur Dan Berger. Berger teamed with gourmet Chef Sofia Riley(TGIS) and paired the perfect wine with each sensational course.
The proceeds from Grape Expectations support the Long Beach Public Library Foundation, literacy programs such as Raising A Reader and the twelve Family Learning Centers located in each Long Beach Public Library. The evening began at 4:00 p.m. with cocktails and a silent auction, followed by the gourmet meal, awards ceremonies and a live auction. Musical performer for the evening was the magnificent Porter Singletary.
